Projection run-through

Projection experiment

24/01/25

Last week we had a practice workshop for our idea for Light night. The idea has changed slightly since my last journal mentioning this, instead of the origami boat idea we will instead be doing this line drawing projection task. This consists of staggered OHP's that will project acetate line drawings onto the walls, the walls will be a landscape drawing of the city, so the public can add whatever they like to the landscape.  We stayed late in the studio one evening so we could try and get the full effect of the projection when it started to get dark.  This was a successful practice, the idea works how we thought it would but it was also just a nice activity to be part in, we had people from all three years there, everyone positive and talking, it just had a great collaborative energy. Beth brought her daughter along,
she was very sweet and it helped gain a child's perspective of the activity. It was great to see that the activity could speak to multiple age groups.
