Plaster objects  

 I ordered myself the gold leaf sheets and adhesive from the internet last weekend ready to coat my plaster objects once they had dried and been cleaned up.  I must say I was very excited to use gold leaf as it’s just so pretty, I had used it once before but forgot truly how messy it is, the bits of gold stick everywhere. The process is relatively easy, you apply the adhesive and wait for it to go tacky, apply the sheet and wipe over it with a brush a few times, the gold only sticks where the adhesive is. All the pieces were pretty easy to gold leaf, the little mask things were definitely the hardest to get the gold leaf in the small details without it ripping. This whole process went well I think the objects now look really effective , they give me a feeling of relics and precious objects which is what I was aiming for.
