Studio practice
Beginning task
On Monday as a beginning task we were instructed to create body forms by wrapping one another in brown paper, we had to think about ways to make the form stay once we removed it from the person, thinking closely about where to fold and crease the paper and where to place tape. Our paper people turned out successfully, both resembling bodies. After we used these forms as a subject to create some sketches from. This was a very fun activity to help wake up and test our brains after the long break. My drawings were just rough sketches but I'm happy with them non the less, i did particularly like drawing one of the bodies, as it was laid strangely with the pointed face laying closest to me and its body away from me, I thought this made an interesting composition that was giving ideas of bird skulls and kind of strange woodland people, despite this, I don't think I'll be taking these ideas any further within this project.
