The Duchess Gallery- Primary photos
When thinking about the objects and stuff in the back ground of the painting it immediately reminded me of this shop, so I decided to go and take some images as a little bit of beginning research task thinking about the shop scene in the painting. This shop is called The Duchess Gallery and its located at a small shopping village area called The engine yard, within the grounds of Belvoir Castle. The quite informal set out to this shop along with a few of the physical products is what made it so reminiscent of the painting to me with the long full table you could almost imagine a modern version of the painted woman stood shopping there.
The website describes the shop as "A luxury lifestyle and fashion store that the Duchess of Rutland has exclusively curated. Featuring beautiful gifts, homeware, fashion and accessories, you’ll be genuinely spoilt for choice. The store is inspired by the Duchess of Rutland’s exquisite taste in interior design and her love of the great outdoors. The Duchess handpicks the items in the Gallery, making it the perfect place for rural retail"
