Current ideas 

The lady in the painting is almost presented as an object to be sold along with the rest of the stuff, with the big bow around her neck like a gift and shown almost like a porcelain doll. I liked this idea of the porcelain doll, and in the modern times of today that translates to me to dolls like barbies or bratz. Less so for the looks but more the ideas, when you buy a new doll in her box she usually comes with the things she would need, usually things like a change of outfit, hair brush and little accessorises like that. To me the things in the painting are almost like this "dolls" things.  With my response I plan to get rid of the person all together and focus just on the stuff. I will create portraits of people through their objects. I’ve chosen the idea of the bedside table to be my subject. A place that holds our most raw selves, the things we think we may need in our sleep, a place we hold our personal necessity’s, or just holds our junk whilst we’re in bed. Depending on the type of person, it could be messy, organised each varying from the next, sharing a piece of their personality with the onlooker. For now I intend to collect images of peoples bedside tables in unaltered states to work from.
