Table Self vol. 1 and vol. 2

Table self vol. 1 and vol. 2 are the finalised collection of bedside table images. I originally thought id just use the first draft book as the finale first one but later decided to re do it so the second book would follow on better. When editing the layout of the pages and images I tried to pair images together through colour, I thought this would make a good visual balance when opened flat as a double page spread. I chose to use the photobooks UK website again as its a very simple way to create a professional looking photobook, however the fact that the process is so simple is quite limiting when it comes to layouts and editing tools. I did briefly try out Adobe indesign and blurb but despite online tutorials and being shown I still struggled slightly using them and found it overwhelming so went back to the simplicity of photobooks UK.

After I began making the mini books and realised that making a proper looking book was possible I started thinking that I should of made these books myself, but I knew at that point it wouldn't be realistic to complete them in the time scale. Nether the less I'm still very pleased with the way these books turned out, I believe they bring the image collection together in a effective and cohesive way. Even though realistically these are just books filled with images of seemingly random unnamed tables I believe that's part of what makes it interesting, when grouped together with limited information they become intriguing and curious. I'm pleased with how the books have brought all the images together and excited to see how they look presented in the castle.
