 Porcelain leaf people   

Yesterday my leaf people came out of the kiln. The first batch of leaves I tried casting fired on top of each other kind of creating a very thin merged leaf person, it is so fragile so it was defiantly a good idea to re test the idea and give them a second coat. The second batch of leaves fired well and all came out as separate leaf casts. Next time I want to try find a balance between the two, making them slightly thinner than the second test but thicker than the first, I want to try keep some of the translucency without them becoming too fragile. 

I still don't really know what I'm going to do with the leaf casts, I've had the idea to perhaps take them back to the trees and bushes I picked them from, almost replacing what I took.
