Porcelain leaf photos
Last Wednesday I took my ceramic leaf people back to where the original leaves came from to photograph them in place. Although I'm finished with this idea now I wanted to make sure to take them back to photograph to just kind of create a full circle, taking the leaves, changing them, then taking them back to the original place. There's an obvious human quality to the casts because of the faces and I think putting them back onto the actual bush could evoke ideas of environmental themes because of the emotive faces. The thing I liked about this task was I felt like I was bringing importance to this laurel bush, throughout this project I've mainly just used the leaves from this one exact bush going to the same plant multiple times a week it became part of my routine, it felt good and important to give back something to the plant.
