 Porcelain casting   

I decided to test out casting the leaf people in porcelain slip. I sprayed the leaves with hairspray then  dipped the leaves in slip, coating the leaves in porcelain, when fired the leaf will burn away leaving behind a delicate cast of the leaves. I think these could perhaps look quite good in an arrangement of many of these leaf casts but ill have to see how the tests turn out first. 

I'm not to sure if this first group of test leaves will survive as they were only coated once. I was meant to go back down to the ceramic room an hour later to dip the leaves in a second coat of slip, having a stressful day I never went back down, this test will be fired as I left them meaning they will most likely be incredibly thin and fragile. I plan to go back down to the ceramic room to test another set of leaf people but this time seeing the process through properly.
