Exhibition presentation ideas I've sketched out an idea of how I want to present my work for this exhibition, Just from looking at the boards this is what I've planned in my mind but I'm open to moving things around when it actually comes to putting the work up, the sketch is more just to envision what id actually be putting up. As I've also been working on a video there's a large screen opposite the boards to show this on, having the screen as well has extended my showing space into a more open space. Originally there were two sofas by the screen, I knew I wanted seating but my worry was that people may see a seat and just take it as an opportunity to sit down or wait, I mean I'm ok with people taking a sit down if needed but not if people decided to just sit there the whole time because its comfy, I wanted un-comfy seating. As I have quite a natural theme going on throughout my work it was suggested by a tutor I use straw bails, I thought he was joking at first but then I realised it could work really well.
I took three straw bails into the studio over this half term, choosing half term as less people so it would be easier. From experience I knew moving them would be a bit messy as straw falls off but as I've only ever really moved them in places like stables and barns where there's already straw and stuff all over the floor I didn't really quite how much mess it really made. I got the three into reception and the receptionists let us in the lift to upstairs, they were friendly and thought it was great despite my frantic apologies about the mess. Thanks to Yang we got it up to the studio and before I had chance to arrange them I quickly got told off by security, the maintenance guys also made a displeased comment or two. I mean it did make quite the mess so I can understand why they weren't happy but yeah definitely scared me. Of course we cleaned up what we could, I had always planned too, but yeah ill try think of a better way to get them back out when its done.
