Exhibition visit

 Bonington gallery

After the end of history, British working class photography 1989-2024 at the NTU Bonington Gallery.

Last Tuesday myself and a friend took a visit to the Bonington gallery to see the current exhibition, I  wanted to see this exhibition as I knew it had some pieces by Richard Billingham which I wanted to see in person as I just generally really like his work. So I didn't go with the intention of project inspiration but I found some anyway. The theme of British working class photography has also linked well to the theme of my group presentation. For our group presentation I chose the theme of social economic status and the arts, from a working class viewpoint. So this exhibition helped me think deeper into this theme and the work created by artists impacted by such.  When walking around the exhibition I saw a few pieces centred around bathrooms and toilets, This does make me wonder what draws me to these artists and works is it my own place in society? But seeing these pieces based around bathrooms has helped affirm the route I want to take.
