 Film camera experimentation

The sunny 16 rule is a way of calculating the correct exposure for a shot without using a light meter. This is a baseline rule that uses weather (light) conditions to estimate the exposure needed.

Neither film camera has a built in light meter, I had a brief look at phone apps that act as light meters but was struggling to read the results and figure out what it meant. I came across the sunny 16 rule and seem to understand this well. I have been experimenting with this to calculate the exposure needed for my photos, I think its working well but wont see how successful I've really been until I develop the film. I do still think it would be beneficial for me to try again at learning how to use the light meter apps as they will be more exact in readings, I think I will understand best if I can find someone to talk me through how to use them.
