 Screen printing T-shirts

Today my screen was ready so I went up to the print room to print some T-shirts. I haven’t been screen printing in a little over a year so needed a quick refresher on the process of setting up and cleaning but quickly got back into it. First I decided to do some practice prints, I printed on paper and found bits of material from the wood workshop. I’m really happy with how the pieces on the wood turned out, It’s rough and not perfect but it speaks of the project perfectly. It was a positive that Tony was in the workshop today as he had a lot of knowledge on how to use certain equipment like the carousel, this was really helpful and made the process a lot more professional than it would’ve been has he not been there. Using the carousel was a new process to me but was relatively simple. The only difference is you push the ink away from you instead of towards you, I also got to use some machines that cured the ink to the T-shirt, it was almost like an oven so that was new. I’m really pleased with how the T-shirts turned out towards the end some of them got a bit rougher but I’m gonna go back down tomorrow to do some more. I wore my T-shirt out after I printed it, I wore it too From the ground up, to go see my friends and just made sure it was visible. I was only able to spend the morning Printing T-shirts as I had a very busy day but it was beneficial. I’m very happy with how they turned out and feel like I’ve learnt some new skills.
