Zine ideas  

In my previous zine ideas blog post i talk about deliberating over the contrasting styles between my previous idea and art style, I was thinking about other possible ideas. My work is very text based at the moment, based around stories, i think this could meet the story telling part of the theme. 

Came home after being out for a few days, my mothers been through my things and read my diary again. In response I made a zine, “lies from a parent”. Visually inspired by anna fox and calle, with content inspired by the first part of a poem called "lies my mother told me" a poem by  Ana Cadance. Originally i was just thinking about lies from a parent, using lies my own mother has told me, alternating between common childhood white lies and deeper hurtful ones. I believe this could be a good idea for a project, lies from lovers or strangers, i could ask people to send me lies they have been told, or even ask strangers myself to tell me a lie.

don't sit to close to the tv you'll get square eyes 

“This is the last time ill hurt you, i promise” 

If you keep pulling that face and the wind changes you'll get stuck like that 

“Moving here will solve everything”

eat carrots and you'll see in the dark 

“I don't have a drinking problem, its just the medication” 

Its illegal to have the cars interior light on when driving 

“You'll never be like the other kids, you have problems” 

Your nose grows when you lie
