A day with a duck 

When thinking about the way I am approaching my current project I believe that it has been influenced by the talk we had from artist Helen Stratford. Through my previous projects I have continuously explored lived experience and human condition, before I often reached others through social media this time I am exploring similar themes, this time interacting with the public myself directly, this is partly inspired by Helen Stratford's day with a duck project.  Through this project Stratford investigated a town and its issue with a special type of duck, some people in the town held a real hate for the ducks, she spoke to people who worked around the town, even followed a duck for the day. From this she made a book called a day with a duck, this had interesting text, and these funny instruction like illustrations.

I think the inspiration from this piece is clearly evident when looking at my current project. I have chosen to spend a day with a market seller, documenting this experience through a self made publication, i am following a similar investigatory route just with a different subject.
