 Tracey Emin 

Tracey Emins unmade bed is a piece that to me  I think could be considered the ultimate self portrait. It’s deeply intimate, she’s layed everything about her personal self on display for us to see, not just her physical form. This piece is one I just had to write about in relation to my own work at the moment as the I believe both ideas have a similar basic goal. Showing the person without the person and of course I think part of my own idea for this project and fascination with portraying the normal has definitely been influenced by the work and ideas of artists like Emin.
