Glass kiln induction Yesterday we had a glass kiln induction session,, this wasn't a practical session but instead informational. We learnt about a simple process, the health and safety, different possibilities and limitations. I was particularly interested in this example piece I had seen that had metal inclusions inside, this gave me lots of ideas for possible new supporting pieces. I do really like the coloured and textured pieces but don't feel they fit very well with the visual language of my current project. I spoke to James and booked to go down to the workshop next Thursday to try the process with the glass and metal. I like the idea of writing in metal but it being in-cased in the glass, slightly chard. I think ill have to do a few testers writing in metal before I go down, ill also source a few different metal options.
